Giving not only their Executive Branch the Victory to carry out what's needed, as across the border the Obama Executive Branch and it's Cabinet are the only ones actually building what the Country should have built long ago, thanks to Sec. Shinseki and continuing with Sec. McDonald, the Veterans Administration, long ignored by the poser patriots served, but the actual needs in the Legislative Branch, unlike us American neighbors, to fully implement, within reason, what Trudeau and his Cabinet seek for the Country and it's Veterans!!
America's Veteran's aren't the only ones forgotten by most, poser patriots, they've served!! Not only recognized in Canada but the Brits and others know where the lack of 'Sacrifice' is coming from!!
And with same, Conservative, tactics used of laying, media hyped 'scandals', blame on the mostly extremely dedicated personal, as well as the honest organization's of others recognizing the needs and seeking to help the grossly, especially as to conflict theaters and returns from, under funded and thus under built Veterans Administration's of Government's of Democracies charged with the promises and oaths of those served!! while hyping conservative private sector Veterans orgs who's principles reap highly compensated wealth and status, the veterans to be helped not so much as the want to privatize VA's for corporate profits and little regulation continues!!
Veteran Ron Clarke has been fighting on the homefront on behalf of returning military suffering from PTSD. CP file photoAugust 13th 2015 - Ronald Clarke still remembers seeing dead bodies stacked up like cordwood awaiting burial in a Vietnamese mass grave.
“I was deployed with a Canadian contingent. We were there to monitor the so-called ceasefire. While there, we lost one officer who was shot down and we had two officers taken prisoner and held for over a month,” said Clarke.
Today Clarke, who has Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) after serving more than 35 years in the army, is fighting another battle – to throw Stephen Harper out of office come Oct. 19. Clarke is angered by cuts to vital services that have left some former service people struggling.
snip The ABC campaign is protesting against drastic federal budget cuts that resulted in a total of nine Veterans’ Affairs offices across Canada closing down last year, which provided frontline services to ex-soldiers like Clarke, who in addition to PTSD suffered a back injury while handling mail and further injuries to his hands he sustained as an army boxer.
However the cuts have backfired. The federal government had to hire 100 caseworkers to oversee roughly 900 veterans’ files, after a similar number of people were let go when the offices were shut down under former Veterans Affairs Minister Julian Fantino, according to disabled veteran Tom Beaver. read more>>>
August 18, 2015 - A veterans group opposed to the Harper government says it is planning to regularly picket campaign events, post lawn signs and use social media in its Anyone But Conservatives campaign, launched Monday. The group kicked off its efforts with a protest outside the Royal Canadian Legion branch in Fredericton as Stephen Harper made announcements to boost the number of military reservists in the next mandate.
Tom Beaver, the chair of the campaign, said the veterans will be holding similar rallies and protests across the country.
He said he was among a group of veterans who waited outside the campaign gathering but weren’t permitted to enter the local legion building.
Beaver, a former member of the army who served as a peacekeeper in the 1990s, says the group has a network of about 320 volunteers who are poised to help a board of 12 directors arrange the national campaign. read more>>>
20 October 2015 - Canada's Liberal leader Justin Trudeau rode a late campaign surge to a stunning election victory on Monday, toppling Prime Minister Stephen Harper's Conservatives with a promise of change and returning a touch of glamor, youth and charisma to Ottawa. The Liberals seized a Parliamentary majority, an unprecedented turn in political fortunes that smashed the record for the number of seats gained from one election to the next. The Liberals had been a distant third place party in Parliament before this election.
Harper conceded defeat, ending his government's nine-year run in power and the 56-year-old's brand of fiscal and cultural conservatism.
Trudeau, 43, the photogenic son of former Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau, pledged to run a C$10 billion annual budget deficit for three years to invest in infrastructure and help stimulate Canada's anemic economic growth. read more>>>
