Ask yourself: If the Veterans Administration is so corrupt and mismanaged, as the conservative ideology, under which the seeds of are planted when they control, wants everyone to buy into as they obstruct the budgets and do extremely little after they charge same, then why does the Private sector, many problems within rarely heard about, adopt so many practices and advanced technologies developed within the VA, for free?! The VA, DoD, and in partnership with Universities and Colleges, not just Health Care are constantly in R&D and that developed that works is quickly moved into the private, for profit, sector, even as the VA is long under funded, decades, and especially during and after our wars that the few are sent into!

VA Will Now Determine Eligibility Using Driving Distance

I would suggest, especially the conservative ideology brothers and sisters and giving aid to that want to privatize, the people served responsibility, for corporate profit, try not to fudge any 'driving distances' so you can rush out for, attack the VA, local or FOX speak media coverage, also giving those congressional attack dogs, like Rep Miller, another media hyped 'scandal' for costly with nothing done congressional hearings to raise their, poser, patriotic profiles for non corporate votes!!! VA personal can using travel software and sites also!!

VA Expands Choice Program Eligibility, Effective Immediately
WASHINGTON – April 24, 2015 - In order to expand eligibility for the Veterans Choice Program, the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) today announced that it will determine eligibility for the Veterans Choice Program based on the distance between a Veteran’s place of residence and the nearest VA medical facility using driving distance rather than straight-line distance. This change has been published in the Federal Register and is effective immediately.

“VA is pleased to announce the distance calculation change from straight-line to driving distance for the Veterans Choice Program,” said Secretary Robert McDonald. “This update to the program will allow more Veterans to access care when and where they want it. We look forward to continued dialogue with Veterans and our partners to help us ensure continued improvements for Veterans’ to access care.”

The change from straight-line to driving distance roughly doubles the number of eligible Veterans. read more>>>
