While many factors come into play, often in combination, leading some to suicides for decades the Country served has Ignored or Outright Denied one main cause from the 24/7 stress of war and what is known, seen, participated in that brings on many suicides of Veterans and Military personal, PTS!!!
Why, like the many other issues so Those Served, in a representative Democracy 'they' are the Government, need Not Sacrifice themselves!!!!! Just because the representatives pass, in cases like this poser patriotic, legislation doesn't mean the costs for, in many ways, is actually covered and that the tax payer is funding the needs to implement. In deficit government very small funding is covered rest is borrowed with interest and because of causes problems that then need to be paid for through the already grossly under funded agency budgets, them oft repeated representatives and media hyped 'scandals', decades and wars of in the VA agency, the peoples responsibility and promised but never fully delivered!!
February 12, 2015 - Clay Hunt served in the United States military. After returning home, he committed suicide. His name will be remembered for its inclusion in the recently passed Clay Hunt Suicide Prevention for American Veterans Act, but aside from that Hunt is no different than any of his fellow service members. All of those who have served in the military, especially during the times of war that have plagued the last decade and a half, have also experienced trauma and difficulties adjusting to life at home. A disturbingly high amount of them take their own lives. For far too long, the federal government has ignored or refused to properly address mental health issues for returning U.S. veterans. The stigma of mental illness in the military goes back for centuries, and the trauma soldiers experience has only been seriously studied in a scientific manner since “shellshock” was first described in World War I. Now, even with our modern understanding of PTSD, seeking help for mental health issues can be considered taboo. The Clay Hunt SAV Act is the first, most important step the federal government has taken towards both acknowledging the VA’s past mistakes in regards to mental health and working to correct them. read more>>>
Neither of these recent wars have yet been paid for, nor the continued blowback from the spread and growth from the policies implemented!
Neither the long term results from, including the long ignored or outright denied existence of, till this Administrations Cabinet and Gen Shinseki, only Government branch consistent for the past six years, Veterans issues from!
As well as under deficits most of the, grossly under funded for decades and the wars from now, VA budget is still borrowed, with interest, thus added problem creating costs, with representative who control the purse strings blaming the mostly dedicated VA personal within, that shouldn't exist!
