On Veterans' Issues It Only Takes One (R) Conservative to Speak For Rest

Veterans' Suicides is not a new Veterans' issue either outright ignored or just plain denied exists as those doing make very comfortable livings setting the talking points meme's used by these lawmakers hired by the, poser patriots, served so they have no need to demand they sacrifice! There's a very long list, especially from our wars the very few are sent into, they and their families expected to sacrifice for those that won't in any form!!

Tom Coburn blocking veteran suicide prevention bill

Neither of these recent wars have yet been paid for, let alone the results from, including the long ignored or outright denied existence of, till this Administrations Cabinet and Gen Shinseki, only Government branch consistent for the past six years, issues! As well as under deficits most of the, grossly under funded, VA budget is still borrowed thus added, problem creating, costs that shouldn't exist! Add in the growth and spread of the deadly dangerous blowback from the extremely failed policies that destroyed that pandora's box!!

Sen. Coburn Is Holding Up the Veterans Suicide Prevention Bill

December 12, 2014 - An effort to get a veterans suicide-prevention bill passed in the final days of the 113th Congress faces one remaining hurdle: an anonymous hold.

“As far as we can tell, we have the support of nearly every single U.S. senator, Democrat, Republican, except perhaps just one,” said Alex Nicholson, the legislative director for the advocacy group Iraq and Afghanistan Veterans of America. “The holds are anonymous.”

But veterans advocates have a suspect for who is behind the procedural roadblock: Sen. Tom Coburn.

The group took to Twitter to try to increase pressure against the Oklahoma Republican, asking their followers to call his office. It also tweeted at Coburn’s account with stories from Oklahoma veterans and their families affected by suicide.

Coburn’s office didn’t respond to request for comment, but sent out a release Friday listing the senator’s concerns with the legislation—namely, what he believes is an unnecessary cost. read more>>>
