Never Mention Private Sector
When attacking the VA, any government agency, dedicated civil servants in the congressional hearings, the press, the 99% the citizens served, even many veterans, attacked by those seeking to privatize the whole agency and all of government for corporate profit off the peoples treasury and still under government so they can legislate added fee's and more for those corporate entities.
Once again the pure hypocrisy of the politics with no ideology flows!
2nd Jun 2014 - FROM representing 43,000 clients in a Vietnam Vets' class action in the US, to appearing in 17 matters in Gladstone Magistrates Court last week, local lawyer Bill McMillan has always enjoyed being a voice for the people.Mr McMillan, Special Counsel at DJP lawyers, was one of more than 10 lawyers involved in the Agent Orange class action in 1980, representing thousands of Australian and New Zealand veterans who had been affected by the chemical that ruined many thousands of lives.
Mr McMillan recalled about 15 visits during four years to a Long Island courthouse, where the original claim was filed, as he fought for instalment-type payouts for veterans disfigured and destroyed by the botched chemical drops.
"I got involved with Vietnam Veterans in 1980, I was asked to represent them in a class action in the US and then I was asked to represent the New Zealand veterans," he said.
"I had 43,000 clients at one stage in the class action and it ran out of steam but we got a settlement in about 1986, but by that time what was apparent was that the major difficulty was PTSD (Post Traumatic Stress Disorder)." read more>>>
Not strange those pushing same, they had targeted the General with his appointment, leave out how little They, representing the greater majority served, did for Veterans and to bring the Veterans Administration to the best of the best in the World in the once richest nation, doing what those served refused to do as they wave their flags, under bush jr. and two rubber stamped wars on the credit cards with interest, obstructing under Obama since! While passing mostly unfunded legislation only to be used to attack VA personal at congressional hearings while under funding the agency as they rubber stamp war costs and defense budgets! Obstructing under Clinton, under bush sr, under their king ronny extremely little as capitalism was instituted for capital to flow up not shared and privatizing government for profit off the peoples treasury increased, obstructing under Democratic Presidents since Korea and doing extremely little under conservative administrations since same! Especially as to us Vietnam Vets, while ignoring all the obvious and very costly results from our wars to those sent into or denying those issues even existed, Gen Shinseki was Finnally addressing many of those with the help of the entire Executive Administrations Cabinet and their charges, even Gulf War Syndrome from Desert Storm!! Tens of thousands have passed on from those issues!!
PTSD: Conservatives Pro-Business right-wing Think Tank American Enterprise Institutes own Sally Satel, Still Selling Care for PTSD Veterans is Waste of Money! Nemisis of us Veitnam Veterans who fought for recognition of! She, and some others, have made very lucretive livings writing and speaking in denial of, giving reason to country and politicians serving them to ignore, and thus have the blood of hundreds of thousands of not only military, military veterans but civilians who suffer the ravages from extreme trauma's, on just one long of many ignored issues by those served issue so they need not pay for care!
Travesty For Us Veterans': Especially if another Conservative Executive Administration oversee's, we already have them in Congress and State Houses talking but doing nothing but obstruction!
It isn't a VA 'scandal', it's the Country served and through their Representatives 'SCANDAL', decades long and wars from as they ignore the issues so they need not pay for! Wars over no need to wave them patriotic, patriotism posers, flags! Nothing more to see or need to do here, move along, attitude!
