Unselfishly continuing serving the country that doesn't feel the need to sacrifice themselves, though more then willing to use those who serve them, especially on the political front, DeJa-Vu all over again, and again,............! Also continuing to bring the individual skills, with each individual possessing many and now well experienced in and further developing, together for a common cause, where business human resource needs overlook the same skills!
'Team Rubicon is bridging the gap within me - that feeling of loss and disconnect many veterans feel but are afraid to discuss'March 07, 2014 - For the last three years, I have identified my life by painful experiences and traumas I have little or no control of. I know I should feel grateful for what I have and be thankful that I have a future, but there is that emptiness.
Having just completed a small stint providing relief after winter storm with Team Rubicon in Augusta, Georgia, I continue to ask myself “Why?” Why is it considered to be moral and just to serve the needs of others, to live their happiness through a vicarious emotion; yet when we experience this feeling directly, it leads to guilt?
I guess Team Rubicon bridges the gap in more ways than one. There is the obvious reason, the one we see on the surface. There are those individuals who’ve been chosen for a higher calling – those that serve selflessly and without question, assisting those who cannot assist themselves. This occurs in war, humanitarian efforts, and periods of reconstruction. Essentially defining the veteran, and his or her ability to stand strong and carry on. We have seen this in our missions with Team Rubicon, bridging the gap between society and this group that often feels misunderstood and lost in the crowd. read more>>>
