Ask yourself: If the Veterans Administration is so corrupt and mismanaged, as the conservative ideology, under which the seeds of are planted when they control, wants everyone to buy into as they obstruct the budgets and do extremely little after they charge same, then why does the Private sector, many problems within rarely heard about, adopt so many practices and advanced technologies developed within the VA, for free?! The VA, DoD, and in partnership with Universities and Colleges, not just Health Care are constantly in R&D and that developed that works is quickly moved into the private, for profit, sector, even as the VA is long under funded, decades, and especially during and after our wars that the few are sent into!

Found Guilty in $100M Vets Charity Scheme

The bush and republicans started the wars, quickly abandoning the missions of why we sent our military into the region after 9/11 with loud cheers from the masses, this scumbag instantly started scamming on same with his oh so 'patriotic' U.S. Navy Veterans Association, and funneled tens of thousands into campaign coffers, from bush on down!!

Mysterious 'Mr. X' Found Guilty in $100M Vets Charity Scheme
Nov. 14, 2013 - An Ohio Jury convicted mysterious mustachioed man John Donald Cody, also known as Bobby Thompson, today for masterminding a $100 million charity scam that preyed on people's sympathy for American military veterans.

As Judge Steven E. Gall read the first the guilty verdicts on 23 charges against Cody, a sheriff's deputy stepped behind him and placed him in handcuffs. Cody stood stone faced as each count was read.

The charges of theft, fraud, money laundering and the use of false identities stemmed from Cody's stewardship of the U.S. Navy Veterans Association, which raised millions, but when examined by authorities, offered little proof that money was used to assist veterans.

After the scheme fell apart, Cody, who had identified himself as a retired lieutenant commander named Bobby Thompson, went on the run for two years and was ultimately captured in Oregon. But even after his arrest, Cody refused to confirm his real name, going so far as to sign his name "Mr. X" on court papers.

Now, Cody, 66, faces a sentence of at least 10 years in prison, and possible as many as 80 years. Sentencing for the defendant is expected to take place next month. read more>>>
