DeJa-Vu, all over again!!
No one has paid a dime for either these present wars nor especially for the results of, that's what deficits are especially these huge ones now facing the country!! All the costs, off the books, rubber stamped by those congresses {wouldn't want to mention nearly nothing done as to the VA by those same rubber stampers!!}, and borrowed, came as the deficits had already started when the surplus was wasted already before 9/11 and has only grown since then, were added to the books when the executive administrations changed, and those billions upon billions upon billions......have not been paid off yet!!
July 10, 2012 - It's Iraq, 2003, and a tragedy is about to happen. A photo shows a marine preparing to pull the trigger on a rocket-propelled grenade launcher. When he did, it blew up. After the smoke cleared two marines lay dead and Aaron Helstrom was riddled with shrapnel.
"I've got a fused spine that's causing me pain every day," Helstrom said.
He returned to active duty, served a tour in Afghanistan, and went on to become a master sergeant. Several months before he finally retired, Helstrom submitted a disability claim to the Department of Veterans Affairs, or VA.
It lists a total of 65 conditions ranging from his shrapnel wounds to PTSD which would qualify him for $2,800 a month in disability pay.
"They say at the time of your retirement or when you get out you will start receiving your compensation claim," Helstrom said. "That's not the case."
Helstrom retired on Dec. 1, 2011. Seven months later, all he had gotten from the VA was a monthly form letter: "We're still processing your application for compensation."
That makes Helstrom one of half a million veterans whose claims are caught in the increasing VA backlog.
"It's actually 565,000," said Allison Hickey, the VA's director of benefits. "Way too many." read more>>>
The new 'magnetic ribbons' the 'parades', same results, but 'parades' only last a few hours on one day! Think 'Desert Storm' and 'Gulf War Syndrome', Ignored, after the 'Parades'! Have the ceremonies, wave those flags, but one word should be on everyone's minds especially any speaking at, especially politicians, 'Sacrifice', you owe it!
No Revenues {especially private capital investments for economic growth, free market capitalism, not being followed} = Still No Sacrifice = That's Called 'Support' For The Troops = DeJa-Vu all over again!!
Now a decade and counting, told to go shopping, use patriotic meme's and symbols of support and wave them flags, added to the previous decades of under funding the VA, while the peoples reps Still try and lay blame on the Agency, after rubber stamping wars and costs of and those represented cheer on these wars!
While the wealthy and other investors garner their booty, still, from both and many have the chutz-pa to call themselves more patriotic{?} then others wrapped in those false flags, using false slogans and various cheap symbols of and then seek one day events or parades to wave all that patriotism, call it "Supporting the Troops", then go home and either ignore or forget about those that actually sacrificed for the country!
