In 2003 some 72% of Americans fully supported the Abandoning of the Missions and those Sent to Accomplish so extremely Quickly after 9/11!!
At least some 95%, if not more as less then 1% serve them, not only still support the, just below, total lack of Sacrifice, they ran from any and all Accountability and left everything still on the table to be continually used if the political/military want was still in play in future executive/legislative wants!!
DeJa-Vu: “With no shared sacrifices being asked of civilians after Sept. 11", Decades and War From, All Over Again!!
Especially for the Corporate and Wealthy Community, investors in Defense Industries, and for these, Afghanistan and Iraq, came Two Huge Tax Cuts, with more sweetheart deals to same from states and the fed!!

Thousands of people across America don’t just talk about honoring Veterans; they walk the walk. Dedicated Volunteers Serve Veterans for Decades

On this Executive Administration, it's Cabinet and those directly around same, "Best - Ever": "We haven't had this kind of visibility from the White House—ever." Joyce Raezer National Military Family Association - Dec. 30, 2011, and plenty more of similar since Joyce, others, spoke and continues!

Ask yourself: If the Veterans Administration is so corrupt and mismanaged, as the conservative ideology, under which the seeds of are planted when they control, wants everyone to buy into as they obstruct the budgets and do extremely little after they charge same, then why does the Private sector, many problems within rarely heard about, adopt so many practices and advanced technologies developed within the VA, for free?! The VA, DoD, and in partnership with Universities and Colleges, not just Health Care are constantly in R&D and that developed that works is quickly moved into the private, for profit, sector, even as the VA is long under funded, decades, and especially during and after our wars that the few are sent into!

President Obama 26 August 2014

Fact: "This is not just a job of government. It’s not just a job of the veterans’ organizations. Every American needs to join us in taking care of those who've taken care of us. Because only 1 percent of Americans may be fighting our wars, but 100 percent of Americans benefit from that 1 percent. A hundred percent need to be supporting our troops. A hundred percent need to be supporting our veterans. A hundred percent need to be supporting our military families."

Fact:
"We’ve been able to accomplish historic increases to veterans funding. We’ve protected veterans health care from Washington politics with advanced appropriations. We’ve been able to make VA benefits available to more than 2 million veterans who didn't have them before, including more Vietnam vets who were exposed to Agent Orange. We’ve dedicated major new resources for mental health care. We’ve helped more than 1 million veterans and their families pursue their education under the Post-9/11 GI Bill."

August 26, 2014 - Secretary Robert A. McDonald's Remarks for the American Legion's 96th Annual Convention, Charlotte, NC
Fact: "Unlike, P&G, VA may not be concerned about quarterly profit and loss statements or shareholder value, but it does have a bottom line—Veterans. "
{which is why No Government agency should be turned into a private corporate entity feeding for profit off the Countries duty and responsibility, especially the VA}

Fact: “We are dealing with veterans, not procedures—with their problems, not ours.” —General Omar Bradley, First Administrator of the Veterans Administration

Facts: Matthew Hoh {former Marine and foreign service officer in Afghanistan}: "We spend a trillion dollars a year on national security in this country."
"And when you add up to the Department of Defense, Department of State, CIA, Veterans Affairs, interest on debt, the number that strikes me the most about how much we're committed financially to these wars and to our current policies is we have spent $250 billion already just on interest payments on the debt we've incurred for the Iraq and Afghan wars."

Fact: "If military action is worth our troops’ blood, it should be worth our treasure, too — not just in the abstract, but in the form of a specific ante by every American." -Andrew Rosenthal 10 Feb. 2013

Fact: "12 years also is a long time. We now have a lifetime responsibility to a generation of service members, veterans and their families." Dr. Jonathan Woodson 11 Sep. 2013: With 9/11 Came Lifetime Responsibility
{two tax cuts, especially for the wealthy, came with these two recent unpaid for wars, nor the results of, DeJa-Vu all over again from the previous decades and wars from! Ignore the many issues, by those served, no need to fund!}

Fact: Sen. Bernie Sanders told Republicans: “If you can’t afford to take care of your veterans, than don’t go war. These people are bearing the brunt of what war is about, We have a moral obligation to support them.” February, 26th, 2014

Fact: 25 June 2014 U.S. Sen. Jay Rockefeller: Veterans' Affairs issue an 'all too similar' scene

Fact: How We Could Do More For Our Vets: "We need to go into debt to pay our debt to U.S. veterans to make sure they get the care and services we owe them."

Fact: “Why in 2009 were we still using paper?” VA Assistant Secretary Tommy Sowers “When we came in, there was no plan to change that; we’ve been operating on a six month wait for over a decade.” 27 March 2013

WHY? GOOD QUESTION THOSE SERVED SHOULD ANSWER!

Bob Herbert Losing Our Way : "And then the staggering costs of these wars, which are borne by the taxpayers. I mean, one of the things that was insane was that, as we're at war in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Bush administration cut taxes. This has never been done in American history. The idea of cutting taxes while you're going to war is just crazy. I mean, it's madness." Bill 'Moyers and Company': Restoring an America That Has Lost its Way 10 Oct. 2014

Under two previous Executive administrations and wars from, father and son. With son and conservative congresses leading the extremely quick abandoning of the missions and those sent to accomplish after 9/11:

ProPublica and The Seattle Times Nov. 9, 2012 - Lost to History: Missing War Records Complicate Benefit Claims by Iraq, Afghanistan Veterans
"DeLara's case is part of a much larger problem that has plagued the U.S. military since the 1990 Gulf War: a failure to create and maintain the types of field records that have documented American conflicts since the Revolutionary War."

Part Two: A Son Lost in Iraq, but Where Is the Casualty Report?

Army Says War Records Gap Is Real, Launches Recovery Effort

3/27/15 - U.S. Nerve Gas Hit Our Own Troops in Iraq
"During and immediately after the first Gulf War, more than 200,000 of 700,000 U.S. troops sent to Iraq and Kuwait in January 1991 were exposed to nerve gas and other chemical agents. Though aware of this, the Department of Defense and CIA launched a campaign of lies and concocted a cover-up that continues today."
"When Brown and others tried to obtain their medical records to prove their illnesses were service-related, they learned that the records had disappeared."

Add in the issues of finally recognizing in War Theater and more Veterans, by the Shinseki Veterans Administration and the Executive Administrations Cabinet, what the Country choose to ignore from our previous decades and wars of: The devastating effects on Test Vets and from PTS, Agent Orange, Homelessness, more recent the Desert Storm troops Gulf War Illnesses, Gulf War Exposures with the very recent affects from In-Theater Burn Pits and oh so so much more! Tens of Thousands of Veterans' that have been long ignored and maligned by previous VA's and the whole Country and through their representatives!

How does a Country HONOR It's Fallen, by Their Own 'Sacrifice' in Taking Care of the Brothers and Sisters They Served With!!

"You cannot escape the responsibility of tomorrow by evading it today." - Abraham Lincoln

"To care for him who shall have borne the battle, and for his widow and his orphan" - President Lincoln

So Romney as CiC Would Abandon the Korean War MIA's

Just like his tepublican predecessor did, the still leader, that nobody even mentions, of that once political party that still call themselves republican, so does everyone else, until mittens is crowned as their dear leader and that's still not decided.

The Bush Administration also elected not to make POW/MIA accounting an issue in the “Six-Party Talks” which have led to the most recent concessions to North Korea. In contrast, Japan did focus its efforts on uncovering the truth about its citizens believed to have been abducted by North Korea for intelligence purposes.

After years of stonewalling, starting in 2002 North Korea admitted it had indeed abducted Japanese citizens and eventually returned five of them. Japan continues to press for additional information.

Tragically, this has created a situation in which the U.S. government has made accounting for Japanese civilians a higher priority than resolving the fates of American GIs.

On June 26, President Bush announced he was dropping North Korea from “Trading with the Enemy” status and moving to remove Pyongyang from the list of State Sponsors of Terrorism.

The President declared: “The other thing I want to assure our friends in Japan is that this process will not leave behind -- leave them behind on the abduction issue. The United States takes the abduction issue very seriously. We expect the North Koreans to solve this issue in a positive way for the Japanese…And it is important for the Japanese people to know that the United States will not abandon our strong ally and friend when it comes to helping resolve that issue.” The President made no mention of the U.S. POW/MIAs.

{the above comes from a nine page pdf about the Korean MIA's, I remember his comments well, the highlights by me.}

Will he seek to gin up intelligence and send soldiers once again into Korea invading then occupying?

Once more a tepub, and their minions, are trying to play that oh so strong on national defense, even after the devastating occupations of Iraq, no combat troops now left In-Country, which came as they abandoned the main mission and our countries promises to with the first drum beats of war point at Iraq, which is why we even sent our military into that region, the Afghans, still ongoing, as the soldiers sent and fighting are trying to at least accomplish, which with the recent and past war atrocities whip out and they know that, some of that original mission and those promises with the slow draw down till ending officially.

Romney criticizes Obama handling of North Korea

13 April 2012 - Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney condemned the launch of a long-range rocket by North Korea, saying it puts the region at risk and highlights the “incompetence” of the Obama administration.

And where was his and the rest of the flocks comments, like above, as to the previous administration and the first failed test launches of ICBM's by North Korea as well as their development of the Nuclear abilities for possible defensive or offensive needs, like Iran, after being constantly condemned and threatened by that administration and them and still are?

This is what happened, related to Korea and an Olive Branch of food aid etc., after the Executive Administration Branches changed hands and the New Administration was left with two wars, the collapsed economy and the rest of the failed foreign and domestic policies.

U.S. to resume search for POW/MIA in N. Korea
10/21/2011 - After six years of diplomatic gridlock, U.S. officials have reached an agreement with North Korea to resume recovering the remains of troops killed in the Korean War, bringing a measure of hope to frustrated families awaiting the return of loved ones.

Roughly 8,000 U.S. service members from the war are still missing, with 5,500 of them thought to be buried in North Korea. For decades, their recovery has been tied up with U.S. efforts to engage with the isolated authoritarian government over its nuclear weapons program.

The above comes from a two page pdf, Personnel Accounting Progress in Korea (Updated: February, 2012) that starts out with this:
Korean War Statistics:
Total unaccounted-for 7965
Total joint field activities (JFAs) completed in North Korea: 1996 – present 33
Total joint field activities (JFAs) completed in South Korea: 1996 – present 34

The Koreans new leadership failed to heed and then had a failure of trying to show their strenght with this failed, like the others, rocket launch, which at present leaves us here:

U.S. Suspends MIA Search in North Korea

March 21, 2012 – The United States has suspended efforts to find remains of U.S. service members lost during the Korean War due to North Korean threats to launch a ballistic missile, Pentagon Press Secretary George Little said here today.

Recovering remains of those lost and unaccounted for is a priority to the Defense Department, and U.S. experts were due to enter North Korea this month.

Here's hoping, especially for the families of, that soon the olive branch can once again be offered, as food aid also has been suspended after the launch once again hurting the Korean people, and the Koreans understand the failure of their attempt, even while still being condemned and threatened, and the suspension can be once again lifted and the searches finally begin, not needing to depend on China's help.

Romney's tough guy strong on national defense comments are one more bite on my butt of a decade long series of that leave me fighting with myself to once again suppress the rage from, luckily I can but forget I don't, and to think they use an elephant still as their symbol!

Let me admit, while over the years, much easier now with this technology, I tried to maintain any news of the brothers of all our wars, especially Vietnam, that were Missing In Action and the Repatriated remains of with the families and communities finally having closure, I wasn't always following the Defense Departments releases but news of from around the country. During the previous administration, and before, that news was few and far between up till a couple of years back. In the recent years the Defense Department releases seemed to have suddenly not only picked up but were coming almost every month, from soldiers of WWII to Korea and Vietnam and even a couple from WWI, they went slack the past couple of months, after the change of command in the Pentagon, but now have seemed to once again have started up. I started posting them on the site I put together to Honor the Fallen of OEF and OIF adding into those other updates especially in the rapid fire way they started finally coming with the 110th and 111th Congresses and especially the Pro Active now Veterans Administration, along with a bunch of catching up on what wasn't done for years, under former General Shinseki, booted out by the bush, and the people he brought in with him, many Veterans of these two present conflicts.

Before I close this a couple of more comments, this one a reminder as to a certain political party of the U.S., more a cult then a party, as we approach their political campaign gathering only a few months to go.

The why the reminder, well I wouldn't want all you attending to forget to stock up, you had so much fun with these at another, as this was done while you were cheering on the sending of our military into two more wars of choice after you fully supported the abandoning of the main mission, thus no longer any meaning as to what happened on 9/11 here, and promises to the Afgans with the first drum beat of war pointed at Iraq.

Another being I'm a Veteran, USN, All Shore, '67-'71, GMG3, Vietnam In Country '70-'71, so the reason should be obvious, and you not only were symbolically and verbally spitting on us Vietnam Navy Vets but any and all previous Military Service Members who have been wounded in our wars and thus receiving a Purple Heart while sending a new generation of Soldiers, Marines and Sailors into two more long destructive occupations of others and Still Not Demanding Your Own Sacrifice, a decade of, told to go shopping, added to the previous decades of our wars and consistent underfunding the Veterans Administration!

One more a message to Rachel Maddow, though I doubt she'll read this. Girl I love ya and the intelligence and presentation of facts with your reporting. I'm still real glad that you were recognized for same and were snatched from the over crowded media of radio and placed on a major TV network outlet where you've flourished and bring great reports every week night, but please stop with the demands for a National 'Welcome Home Parade', done once again last night, while Not Demanding what I just placed above, that the Country Has Yet To Sacrifice As To The Results Of These Two More Wars and while one is still ongoing, you and IAVA are on the wrong end of the reality of a 'True Welcome Home' and this Countries Responsibility!!

The new 'magnetic ribbons', the 'welcome home parades', same results, only the magnetic ribbons did last for a few months but 'parades' only last a few hours of flag waving on one day! Think 'Desert Storm' and 'Gulf War Syndrome', Ignored until finally this Administration and the new Veterans Administration leader and staff of, after the 'Parades' especially the National New York City Parade!
