February 23, 2012 - The Department of Veterans Affairs is using everything they can to reach soldiers who are having a tough time adjusting to life at home.Despite the popular notion that suicides can't be prevented, the VA says their programs are successful if they can get the veteran to take the first step, on line or on the phone with a text message.
PSA's have saturated the airwaves for months but the VA's website is their primary tool for reaching soldiers.
The website includes lots of resources, including an on line test for soldiers that can help them identify if they have a real problem.
