Why was this policy in place so long and why are there so many suicides in the military and newer veterans community, because there always have been and they continue into the decades following our occupations of others, one of the lessons of wars, especially of choice, not learned from our returning from Vietnam when we finally fought to get combat PTS and yes even TBI recognized, which actually brought out detractors who have made a comfortable living off of the denial and ignoring and helped keep the VA underfunded and research extremely spotty.
