Why is there even a need for this? Where are those free market ronnynomic new capitalist who've reaped huge wealth and benefits and are supposed to be investing that wealth into the growth of the economy new and old and creating the jobs? Why do our Representatives and other Government entities seek the means to help the economy grow and the people prosper? Where's the capital for the advancing growth, like the green economy, you don't need to even believe in that need, it was once what we were great at and envied for and made us a World leader! More questions, but they all point back to the failed economic policies of the past some thirty years and that giant con on the masses and the growing greed of the few!
February 11, 2011 - Concerned about the higher-than-average unemployment rates among veterans, U.S. Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand today hosted a meeting in Syracuse to find ways to match unemployed vets with employers.
If you want to help the 900 unemployed veterans in eight Central New York counties, Brian O’Shaughnessy told the senator, change federal trade policies to allow U.S. companies to better compete around the world.
“That’s what we need to address. Anything you can do to create an environment that allows us to grow is a good thing,” said O’Shaughnessy, the chairman, chief executive officer and president of Revere Copper Products in Rome.
About 70 people turned out for the event at the South Side Innovation Center that drew business leaders, veterans advocacy groups, and veterans who own businesses. {continued}
