16 October 2010 - An Ohio grand jury has indicted a man who donated to Virginia political campaigns last year under the name "Bobby Thompson" on felony charges of money laundering, theft and engaging in a pattern of corrupt activity.
The grand jury also indicted Blanca Contreras, who helped the man run the allegedly fraudulent charity the U.S. Navy Veterans Association. Airport police Friday arrested Contreras at the Charlotte/Douglas International Airport in North Carolina, authorities reported.
The indictments allege the Thompson stole more than $1 million from Ohio residents who intended their donations to help veterans.

Virginia Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli (R) took $55,000 in campaign contributions from the U.S. Navy Veterans Association (USNVA) founder Bobby Thompson before it was revealed that the USNVA was quite possibly a scam that existed solely for the personal enrichment of one Bobby Thompson.
Cuccinelli refused to relinquish the funds, while others hastily gave theirs to charitable organizations, only recently did he finally turn over his ill gotten gains to other Veterans orgs. and still isn't really pushing hard, as the State AG, on investigating the slush fund!
