On FLOTUS & SLOTUS "There is this sense that this is genuine," says Raezer. "We haven't had this kind of visibility from the White House—ever." Joyce Raezer - December 30, 2011

What wasn't done by those who should have, that administration, those congresses, that VA administration, More Importantly the Country: "In 2004, we invaded Iraq," he said. "At that point, the VA should have seen it coming." Richmond attorney Matthew A. Kapinos, a veteran of Army service in Iraq and Afghanistan - May 13, 2012 - and obstructed since!

Our Nation: 'We Pretend the Vets Don't Exist'

Country Must 'Sacrifice' not just Groups Within nor Just Non Profits Fighting for Donations!

If not fully funded, decades now not, while ignoring what we vets were saying on many issues, and especially the past decade plus with two more wars, on the front end and funded for maintaining and updating needs, especially as our next wars are cheered on, that causes much much more in trying to correct what wasn't done or modernized and not only as to monetary needs but the needs of all the Veterans who served the Country! The peoples representatives, fed and states, beat up on the agency and as their representatives the people support that, instead of calling themselves out as the problem!

The new 'magnetic ribbons' the 'parades', with no demand for sacrifice get same results, but 'parades' only last a few hours on one day! Think 'Desert Storm' and 'Gulf War Syndrome', Ignored till recently, finally, after the 'Parades'!
Have the 'Welcome Home Parades' but at each the one word that should be spoke and on the minds of All, 'Sacrifice', Demand It, You Owe It!

No Revenues = Still No Sacrifice = That's Called 'Support' For The Troops = DeJa-Vu all over again!!

Now a decade and counting, told to go shopping, use patriotic meme's and symbols of support and wave them flags, added to the previous decades of under funding the VA, while the peoples reps Still try and lay blame on the Agency, after rubber stamping wars and costs of and those represented cheer on these wars!

While the wealthy and other investors garner their booty, still, from both and many have the chutz·pa to call themselves more patriotic{?} then others wrapped in those false flags, using false slogans and various cheap symbols of and then seek one day events or parades to wave all that patriotism, call it "Supporting the Troops", then go home and either ignore or forget about those that actually sacrificed for the country!

TEA Party: 'Privatize The VA!'??

Privatization to for profit is just plain War Profiteering!!
Need demanded growth, for Wall Street investors, growing comp for execs, growing writeoff corporate perks, Have Wars, send others!!

And one wonders why these so called 'tea party' members, leaders beck {anyone hear them demand at his rally? me neither, as he used a small vet org for cost of rally writeoff} and palin types, Don't Demand 'Sacrifice', their own, for the Veterans of the wars of choice they rabidly support, No One Doesn't! One Knows Why Already, reason the VA has been kept in a constant catchup mode as to technology advancements and more, which double, triple and more costs, as many veterans fight for care and more promised and have for decades!

Tea Party Candidate Ken Buck Called For Privatizing Veterans’ Health Care

21 September 2010 - Colorado Senate candidate Ken Buck (R) has made a name for himself kowtowing the Tea Party line. First, he said liberal Americans were this country’s “greatest threat.” Later, Buck tacked hard-right on abortion, coming out against exceptions even in cases of rape or incest.

Buck has also doubled-down on his Tea Party credentials by calling for Veterans Administration hospitals to be privatized. At a Pueblo Tea Party meeting this summer, Buck told attendees that the VA hospital system would “be better run” if it were privatized:

Snip

In fact, the VA hospital system is one of the most heralded parts of the American health care system. A 2005 Washington Monthly article called it “the highest quality care in the country.” A head-to-head comparison in 2003 between Medicare patients who were free to choose their own private doctors and veterans who were covered by the Veterans Health Administration, the New England Journal of Medicine found the latter “significantly better” on all 11 measures of quality. In addition, a 2006 survey found that veterans are significantly more satisfied with their care than civilians who received private care. {read rest}

Reid out with new ad attacking Angle on veterans’ issues

September 21, 2010 - The ad, following Reid’s central theme, uses Angle’s own words against her. Reid draws from an interview on KNPR in which she discussed privatizing the Veteran’s Administration. She was asked, according to the ad, whether doctor’s visits and prescriptions would be covered.

“No,” she answered. “Not if you’re working toward a privatized system.” {read rest}

The disgruntled still waiting for their trickle down that they were conned into believing was always right around the corner, and still waiting, and still waiting...........!

The reasons the VA isn't the best in the World, but much better then much of the private, as we continue waging wars on innocent others, lays right at the feet of one certain political party but most one political ideology, 'conservatism', that's run amuck as they are also the hawks within the society, sending others!

We Serve the Country and Constitution, that Country Owes, and the Debts of the past are adding to the growing Debts now for the present generation

  1. It hasn't been the "Veterans Administration" since Ronal Reagan made it the Department of Veterans Affairs.

  2. I don't know about the VA healthcare system that you are using, but the Gulfcoast VA system, particularly the Pensacola, Florida, clinic, couldn't be any worse run if it were privatized. They are more interested in policies that put the veteran through needless hoops to artificially inflate their patient count than they are in providing quality health care to veterans.

    Based upon my experience with the Gulfcoast VA system, I fully support privatizing the VA.
