Whether the country ever wanted to Sacrifice or Not {heard any tea party member types, especially veterans in same, mention 'sacrifice' as to the Veterans, Ever?}, They Are, and this also is being done for the VA IT needs as to record keeping etc., VA Clinics and Hospitals, upgrades to and new, with Stimulus Monies. Creating jobs now, much needed expansions for the Needs of Veterans and Jobs Far into the Future!
All much needed and Long over due but ignored by the country and is now going on around the Country!
Improvement projects for area national cemeteries
Improvement projects are on the way for several national cemeteries, including Zachary Taylor in Louisville and New Albany National Cemetery in southern Indiana.
The Veterans Administration received the money for the projects from the American Recovery and Restoration Act.
Zachary Taylor National Cemetery is using $61,000 to buy equipment for maintaining its grounds and for interment operations. Continued
National Veterans Cemetery to be Built in WNY
3 August 2010 There are six National Veterans Cemeteries in New York. The closest one to Buffalo is in Bath. There are more than 180,000 veterans currently living in Western New York.
A Veterans Cemetery would allow local vets to receive full burial benefits at no cost to the family. Continued
Stimulus funds will improve cemetery
3 August 2010 The federal government has earmarked nearly $125,000 in federal stimulus funding for improvements and equipment purchases at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
The funding will provide more than $38,000 for road improvements, nearly $31,000 to replace windows in committal service shelters and $55,608 to purchase utility vehicles needed for grounds maintenance and interment operations at the cemetery, according to a spokesman for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs.
