VA wants more secretaries
The Veterans Affairs Department wants more changes in the way it manages information technology.
The department's fiscal 2011 request includes a legislative request to create five new deputy assistant secretary positions within the office of information and technology, each overseeing a business line:
* Strategy, Architecture and Design,
* Product Development and Delivery,
* Enterprise Program Management Office,
* IT Performance Management, and
* IT Operations and Engineering.

What are the most important issues facing veterans? Veterans groups are on Capitol Hill today discussing this issue before the Joint House and Senate Veterans' Affairs Committee. Duane Miskulin is the national commander of the group, AMVETS, and is one of the experts testifying. He told us what his group believes are the top veterans issues, starting with compensation for Vietnam vets exposed to Agent Orange.

Women in military need more mental health help
When it comes mental health issues, the national commander of a major veterans organization says more needs to be done to help women in the military.
"Research has shown that women run a double risk of developing trauma in the military from battle stress, sexual harrassment and assault," AMVETS National Commander Duane Miskulin tells WTOP. -->-->-->
One thing to do is get behind him and those he brought in in this fight, not in criticizing when a problem arises, help them figure out how we can get out of it rapidly and move forward.
