May 29, 2013 - A Bayonne man who authorities say sometimes posed as a Navy SEAL has been indicted for allegedly sexually assaulting two girls multiple times between 2005 and 2010, Hudson County Acting Prosecutor Gaetano T. Gregory announced today.Gregory Schaffer, 34, of Bayonne, was indicted for aggravated sexual assault, multiple counts of sexual assault by contact, two counts of terroristic threats, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of child abuse, officials said. He was officially charged in December and the indictment was handed up earlier this month.
Hudson County First Assistant Prosecutor Debra Simon said that on at least one occasion, the girls were molested together.
Schaffer is currently in federal custody, on charges that he raped a 15-year-old girl in March 2012. read more>>>
